Reader Review: "A Breath of Fresh Air!
Emotionally Awkward Emily is a breath of fresh air in this very complicated world and in our very busy brains. Reading this book helped me realize I was not the only person having these internal conversations. Emily is funny, sweet and kind and doing her very best to live her best life! I love that she says things out loud that I only say to myself. The illustrations are spot on, the look on her face and her body language tell the story.
I would highly recommend this book for everyone. It is real, and raw and current and will help us all to be a little kinder to ourselves and those around us."

Emma Feels The Rainbow
Join Emma on a vibrant journey through her emotions, where every feeling, from joy to sadness, is a colour in her unique rainbow. This heartwarming book teaches us that all emotions belong and that expressing them openly is a path to understanding ourselves. A comforting book for children learning to name and navigate their emotions. This book was created to help children feel safe with their emotions and open conversations between children and their grown ups who care for them.
Reader Review: "This book is Amazing!!! It has changed the conversations in our house! Our 4 year old regularly asks to read it so that we can do the conversation prompts and talk about our feelings. It has opened the door to many meaningful conversations about emotions, how we feel, balancing emotions, regulating ourselves and normalizing that everyone has emotions and how they feel can be different and that's okay. We've started conversations on how to support others when they are having different feelings too. It is a great book to read for kids and adults alike. The down to earth, easy readability makes it a joy if you want a quick read or utilize the questions as conversation prompts to dive deeper into each emotion. Thought provoking, but easy for kids to understand. A great tool for self reflection as an adult too!"
"Thank you so much for creating these books! They are an absolute treasure!"

Why my books stand out
Emotionally Awkward Emily explores mental health in a way that’s rarely seen—with genuine humour and acceptance. The Emma social-emotional learning (SEL) books help children understand their feelings, build confidence, and develop empathy through gentle, relatable stories. I don't believe difficult emotions should be hidden---they deserve to be understood and accepted. That belief is at the heart of every story I write.
Whether writing for children or adults, my stories are crafted to create a safe space for readers to feel understood, and a little less awkward about their own internal worlds. Together, the Emotionally Awkward Emily and Emma books celebrate the full spectrum of human experience.
